This Parent Consent Form provides valuable information concerning the major policies and procedures in effect at Sinclairs High School. Education of a child is the responsibility of the parents. Cooperation between the parents and the school is extremely important. Please read and study this consent form carefully so that both the parents and the school can be consistent in the child’s educational process.
Compulsory Compliance :
- Sinclairs holds multiple extracurricular activities in Fine Arts like Drama, Dance, Choreography, Music, Singing, Sports, and club activities. The student must be willing to take part in any of the above said programs and events as and when instructed by school authorities. Failing to comply with this school policy citing cultural, religious, linguistic or financial reasons other than health problems will result in expulsion from school as this contradicts our educational philosophy.
- Parents are informed that the School holds exclusive rights to the photographs and pictures of the child taken during events and programmes of any academic year which may be used by the School in the social media platforms of the School as well as the print media of the School (magazines, brochures, advertisements, etc.)
- If the academic performance of the student does not meet the required standards, the student is likely to be either detained or given conditional promotion based on the level of progress. In this matter, the decision of the Headmaster will be final and binding.
- If the parent completes a cash transaction in the School office, it is the responsibility of the parent to obtain the receipt for the same. In the event that the parent hands over cash to a member of the staff and does not obtain a receipt, the parent cannot raise a claim later on in the absence of a receipt.
- It is the responsibility of the parent to notify the school immediately if there is any problem concerning the ward. Any change in guardianship, change of address or contact numbers MUST BE NOTIFIED to the School by the parent, in writing in the prescribed form.
- The school communicates through various platforms (SMS, School App, WhatsApp, E-mail, etc) If the parents or guardian are not contactable on any of the contact numbers provided to the School, the School will not be responsible for any failure in communication or information not reaching the parent. Parents must check the notice board at the school premises regularly for all vital information.
- All communications (vocal and digital) from the School will be sent to the phone numbers / email ID recorded under the head ‘DETAILS FOR COMMUNICATION & EMERGENCY’.
- It is mandatory for both parents to attend the Parent-Teacher Meetings. An exemption can be granted only on written authorization. This is an important component of the student’s tenure in the School which provides the teachers a means to provide feedback to parents regarding the student’s progress. It also provides a platform to discuss mutual issues of concern.
- It is important for parents to note that the School will only get in touch with parents when there are matters of importance. At such times, it is of paramount importance that parents respond to the phone calls, WhatsApp messages, emails, etc that are sent. Failure of the parents to respond to the School’s attempts to get in touch with them will be viewed seriously as a lack of concern on the part of the parent about the well-being of the student in School.
Expulsion Policy:
The Management will consider expelling a student who
- Threatens, attempts to, or causes physical/emotional injury or trauma to another person.
- Commits or attempts to commit robbery or extortion.
- Causes or attempts to cause damage to school property.
- Engages in an obscene act or habitual profanity.
- Defies school officials.
- Engages in violence, uses bad language, behaves abnormally towards a fellow student, engages in physical / verbal, bullying, or makes sexual advances towards a fellow student.
- Uses alcohol, tobacco or illicit drugs.
- Indulges in any activity in or outside of the school that is unbecoming of a Sinclairian in a way that puts the name of the institution, staff, parents, or fellow pupils to shame.
- Does not pay the fees by the end of the term or given grace period.
- Indulges in profanity, bullying, or any other form of bad behavior on social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter etc. adding content that damages the reputation of the school.
The student will be automatically issued a transfer certificate/expelled from the school if he or she fails to demonstrate academic progress for two consecutive years.
A student whose parents do not comply with the School rules or engage in quarrelsome, rowdy, or threatening behavior towards school authorities, teachers or other students is also likely to face expulsion.
Fee Payments:-
Parents are expected to pay the school fees as per the schedule established by the school. Those who are paying on an installment basis are expected to do so promptly. Students will not be allowed to write upcoming examinations without clearing the fees. Defaulting in payment of fees will result in being barred from writing exams, results being withheld, and the student being denied entry into class. Transfer Certificate will be issued only after procurement of No-Dues Certificate. Late payment of fees will attract applicable fines. Any complaint regarding discrepancy in fee payment dues will not be entertained if related payment receipts are lost by the parents. Fees once paid WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON.
The School’s ‘Handbook and Code of Conduct For Parents and Students’ clearly specifies all the rules / guidelines which parents and students are required to adhere to and abide by. A breach of these guidelines is unacceptable; parents and students are required to make themselves aware of these requirements. A copy of the Handbook is provided on completion of the admission procedures. If a parent desires to procure a copy of the Handbook prior to admission, it can be obtained on payment of the stipulated amount at the front desk.
Note: If the fee installment is not paid within one month of the due date, the admission would stand cancelled and re-admission would be possible only on payment fine as re-admission charge along with the annual fee.
Management reserves the right to revise the fees charged at the start of the academic session.
